Children from year 4 and 6 took part in a drama workshop with Jack from Eastern Angles Theatre. This was part of a large scale project, 'The Work Furnace', which explores Ipswich's industrial past. The project will bring to life the stories of the workers who kept the town's industries of baking, manufacturing, agricultural machinery, clothes, and ironworks alive in the post war years. In this workshop the children explored photos from the 60s and 70s and produced creative responses using drama.

Talented dancers from years 3 and 6 worked on this project with our dance teacher, Denise Powling Roles. The children were asked to bring in an object that had meaning to them. They then developed a dance around these through a series of workshop style sessions. We are immensely proud of the children: they proved to be resilient, cooperative and caring. Well done to Orlagh, Grace, Sam, Ricards, Vanessa, Ocean, Celia, Frank, Max, Mariah, William, Adaora, Emaiyaal and Sofia!
